XMenTV looks at 16 mutant characters from the X-Men world who would be perfect to show up on The Gifted. X-Men TV: 16 Uncanny Mutants We’d Like To See On The Gifted

#8. Forge

I admit it: When Blair Redford’s Native American Gifted character “Sam” was first announced, my brain wasn’t thinking it was a code-word for John Proudstar a.k.a. Thunderbird; instead, I suspected he was playing Forge, the technological genius with cybernetic parts. His mutant power actually is invention, and he would be a perfect ally for an underground network of mutants.

It still wouldn’t be shocking if Forge showed up on the series at some point; those of us reading X-Men comics over 25 years ago surely have fond memories of the character.

#9. Vulcan

Alex Summers, a.k.a. Havok, is probably off limits unless this a totally different universe from the one in the movies. Cyclops is surely part of X-Men: Dark Phoenix. So what about another Summers brother?

Gabriel Summers in the comics was a part of a doomed group of X-Men that didn’t last very long. If this X-Man that most have never even heard of showed up, what could possibly happen? It might be fascinating.

For those curious, Vulcan’s powers, like his brothers’, all revolve around energy – absorption, manipulation, energy blasts, and all of those sorts of things.

#10. Dust

Having some diversity in the form of a Sooni Muslim character in itself is important in this day and age. The character of Sooraya Qadir a.k.a. Dust, who first appeared in the Grant Morrison New X-Men era of the comics, has the ability to turn herself into… well, dust. This would look cool and it also works as an offensive power.

Technically, she appeared in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, but we all pretend that movie never happened, right? Mouthless Deadpool thanks you.
