FOX's untitled Marvel X-Men project has added Jamie Chung as Blink.

And already Marvel’s still-untitled X-Men TV project for FOX has more “name” characters than Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. started with!

Jamie Chung (Once Upon A Time, Gotham) has been cast in the role of Blink — best known to comic book fans as a character introduced and promptly killed in the comics leading to Generation X who was later seen in the Age of Apocalypse event and then more permanently in the long-running Exiles series.

It is interesting to note that the Blink character appeared in X-Men: Days of Future Past as played by Fan Bingbing. Do note that the character’s last name is different from the comics, where she was originally Clarice Ferguson.

Here’s the release from Marvel with the news — can we please have an official title for this show already?

Jamie Chung has been cast to star in the Untitled FOX Marvel Project from Bryan Singer and Matt Nix.

Jamie Chung will star in a series regular role as Clarice Fong, better known as Blink, a sarcastic and lively tomboy. Clarice’s naturally strong exuberance has taken a hit after a sudden and traumatic upheaval of her life. As she adjusts to the new people and places that are suddenly ‘home,’ Clarice is slowly becoming herself again. Blink is an established character from the X-Men comics with the power of teleportation.

We previously revealed last year FOX has made a put pilot commitment for a new Marvel action-adventure series. The Untitled FOX Marvel Project, written by Matt Nix and directed by Bryan Singer, will focus on two ordinary parents who discover their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive. The series will be produced by 20th Century Fox Television and Marvel Television, with 20th Century Fox handling physical production. Chung joins Blair Redford, who was previously casted as another mutant, Sam, the strong-headed leader of the underground network.

Chung is repped by Gersh, 3 Arts and attorney Todd Rubenstein of Morris Yorn Barnes Levine Krintzman Rubenstein Kohner & Gellman. Previous credits include a recurring role on upcoming season of Hulu’s CASUAL, BIG HERO 6 and GOTHAM.

The Untitled Fox Marvel Project is a co-production of 20th Century Fox Television and Marvel Television. Matt Nix (FOX’s upcoming “APB,” “Burn Notice”) will write the pilot script and serve as an Executive Producer. Lauren Shuler Donner (“X-Men: Apocalypse,” “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” “The Wolverine”), Bryan Singer (“X-Men: Apocalypse,” “X-Men: Days of Future Past”), Simon Kinberg (“X-Men: Days of Future Past,” “Fantastic Four”), Jeph Loeb (“Marvel’s Daredevil,” “Marvel’s Jessica Jones”) and Jim Chory (“Marvel’s Daredevil,” “Marvel’s Jessica Jones”) serve as Executive Producers.
